        The Much hyped 'Netflix' series - 'Narcos (2015)' and the Incredible Facts and Figures about Drug Lord 'Pablo Escobar's Crime Empire.'

The Drug Lord that was responsible for around '4000' deaths.

              The Netflix Series 'Narcos (2015-present) tells the story of rise and fall of Colombian drug lord 'Pablo Escobar'. Here are some Incredible facts of him being the most 'Wealthiest' and most 'Dangerous' Narcotics Kingpins of all time.


          --  Starting as a petty thief, Escobar used to dteal cars and smuggle contraband cigarettes to earn money. In the early 1970s, he allegedly made $100,000 by kidnapping an executive based in the Colombian city of 'Medellin'.

          --  During the peak of its operations, Escobar's infamous Medellin Cartel is estimated to have netted a whopping '$70 Million' on a 'Day-to-Day' basis. Around '$1000' were reportedly spent 'each week' on rubber bands to wrap the stacks of 'Cash'.

          --  In the 1980s, the Medellin Cartel accounted for 80 percent of the Cocaine smuggled in the U.S. Among other things, he shipped the drug in 'Airplane tires', offering handsome amounts of 'money' to 'Pilots'.


         --  Roberto Escobar in the picture, Pablo Escobar's Brother and the Accountant of Medellin Cartel, claimed that in addition to planes, his brother used two small 'Submarines' to smuggle massive amounts of Cocaine into the U.S.

           --  As Documented in the book "Escobar: The Inside Story of Pablo Escobar, the World's Most Powerful Criminal", by Roberto Escobar, the biggest shipment of Cocaine to the U.S. weighed 51,000 lbs (23,000 kg).

           --  In the early 1990s, as one of the wealthiest criminals in history, Escobar pooled around '$60 Million' a day, skyrocketing his net worth to around '$30 Billion'.

           --  Beginning in  1987, quite 'Incredibly', he was featured on forbes' International Billionares list 'Seven' years in a row.




           --  'Hacienda Napoles' Located in Puerto Triunfo, Colombia, Escobar's sprawling estate spreads over 7.7 square miles (20 sq.km). It comprised a 'Sculpture Garden', a 'Lake', a 'Private Bullring', a 'Kart Racing Track', a 'Private Airport' and a 'Zoo', which featured a huge array of animals from different continents including 'Antelope', 'Elephant', 'Exotic Birds', 'Giraffe', 'Hippopotamus'. After his death, the estate was converted into a theme park.





             --  Pablo Escobar was confined to his 'Self-Built' Luxurious Prison- 'La Catedral' after being charged with the assassination of Colombian Journalist and Liberal Politician 'Luis Carlos Galan'.

             --  La Catedral -overlooking the city of Medellin. Its also called "Hotel Escobar" or "Club Medellin". It comprised a 'Football Pitch', 'Giant Doll House', 'Bar', 'Jacuzzi', and a 'Waterfall'. He is said to have installed a telescope that helped him look at his daughter's house in the City.

            --  To Stay onside with the Colombian public, Escobar sponsored children's football teams, built fields, multi sports courts and even supporting Local soccer teams. He also aided the construction of Hospitals, Churches, and Schools in Western Colombia.

              --  The War against Pablo Escobar ended on December 2nd of 1993 after the killing of World's Famous Colombian Drug Lord when he was attempting to evade 'Search Bloc's' attempt at capturing or killing him on the 'Rooftops' of adjoining houses running across to reach a back street. Alvaro de Jesus Agudelo a.k.a "El Limon"- the bodyguard of Escobar, both were attempting to elude the Search Bloc and were shot by Colombian National Police together with American DEA agents. Which are now the main focus of the show 'Narcos' along with Wagner Moura (as Pablo Escobar).


              --  Pablo Escobar suffered gunshots to his 'Leg' and 'Torso' and a fatal gunshot through the 'Ear'.--

              --  It has never been proven who actually fired the final shot into his head. Some of the Escobar's relatives believe that he could have committed 'Suicide'. Theres a 'Wide' range of speculation on the subject. Escobar's two brothers 'Roberto Escobar' and 'Fernando Sanchez Arellano' believe that he shot himself through the 'Ears', "He committed suicide, he did not get killed. During all the years they went after him, he would say to me everyday that if he was really concerned without a way out, he would shoot himself through the ears."


      --  Members of Colonel 'Hugo Martinez's' Search Bloc celebrate over Pablo Escobar's body on December 2 of 1993. His death ended a 15-month search effort that cost 'Hundreds of Millions of Dollars'.

             --  Using 'Radio Triangulation Technology', a Colombian electronic Surveillance team, led by Brigadier 'Hugo Martinez' found him hiding in a middle-class barrio in Medellin. With Authorities closing in, a Brutal firefight with Escobar and is bodyguard Alvaro de Jesus Agudelo a.k.a "El Limon" ensued. Resulting in Pablo Escobar and his bodyguard's death.


               --  Soon after Escobar's death and the subsequent fragmentation of Medellin Cartel, the Cocaine market became dominated by Escobar's rival Cali Cartel, until the leaders of Cali Cartel were too captured or killed in the mid 1990s by the Columbian Government.


       --  Pablo Escobar's Funeral was devastating for many poor people of Medellin, who were aided by Escobar when he was alive. His death was a 'Chaos and Shock' to the whole world.--

               --  Pablo Escobar has cultivated a 'Robin Hood' image in the City of Medellin, which maintained a lasting very long influence after his death. Many of the City's 'Poor' who were aided by Escobar when he was 'alive', mourned his death. And about 25,000 people were present for his Burial.

               --  Pablo Escobar's Funeral had its own 'Chaos' angering several people, who said he was a 'good man' if only he wasn't made famous as a bad person. 

               -- Several 'Thousands' of 'Bereaved Admirers' cheered his name at the memorial, remembering him not as a 'Terrorist' but as a man who spent 'Millions' building 'Soccer Stadiums', 'Housing' for those in Medellin 'Slums', and helped the poor in many ways.

  -- For 'Hours' locals 'Wailed' and 'Moaned', hailing Pablo Escobar as the "Savior of the Poor"--
